The top photo is a nice example of a tintype,
or an image printed on a metal (generally not tin) surface with black lacquer
on the back. These images were usually held in a paper case which has been
very nicely preserved in this example. The Myers family is related to the
Josselyns but exactly how is not clear. The above photo, like most of those
submitted by Carolyn Josselyn was created by Benjamin Armiger. This logo
includes his Tolchester Beach address.
This lower left photo was found in a carton of Armiger family photographs. The only information known about her is that she was a cousin to Sallie Hutton Armiger Josselyn (1868-1943).
On the lower right is Mollie Myers Reany. From old letters it is known that Mollie had a son named Ed Reaney. The Reaneys lived in the 900 block of North Broadway in 1907. Notice the umbrella and painted backdrop of the ocean in this photograph.
