Baltimore City Nineteenth-Century Photos

Elizabeth Neal Druery
John Alexander Druery
Lula Mae Druery Sargable
Unknown Druery

All of the photos on this page were submitted by Judie Caroleo. These pictures were found in the Druery Family Bible. None of them is identified with certainty. The first one, the CDV to the left is thought to be Elizabeth Neal Druery. On the right is either Elizabeth Neal Druery or her mother. This image is a tintype. The tintype was made by Ferdinand Wagner Studios between 1863 and 1886.

Here we have John Alexander Druery. Judie reports that the image is on a metallic (magnetic) background but is thicker and lighter than her other tintypes. There is no photo studio identified.

Very likely this is also John Alexander Druery whose image is captured on this tintype. No photography studio is known.

Another mystery, this is thought to be an early image of Lula Mae Druery Sargable, but the identification is not certain. It is a tintype that was discovered by accident in preparation for scanning the above images. It was included behind one of the other photos.
